Welcome! (edition 2011)
On the 28th of may Aalburg will host the 5th edition of the “Verti Advies 7-Dorpenomloop Aalburg” a beautiful race that will go through the seven villages of the municipality of Aalburg. It is a flat route, but hard because of the wind that will blow in the open fields, the famous Dutch “polders” The riders will race three big laps of 29km and 3 little circuits of 10km. The race is also known as the “home race of Marianne Vos”, because she has always lived in Aalburg, and still lives in Meeuwen, one of the 7 villages on the route of de “Verti Advies 7-Dorpenomloop Aalburg”
The 5th edition of the Verti Advies 7-Dorpenomloop Aalburg makes his first appearance on the international UCI calendar in 2011, and is a 1.2. category race. Next to that, the race is a Dutch Topcompetition race and will host the 18 best Dutch teams who will compete the overall victory. The organizers have 12 wildcards and will invite top teams around the world to race in Aalburg.
International visitors or riders can find local hotels and b&b’s here, on the site of the local tourism centre.
The whole day races will be organized in Aalburg, 9 youth races, 1 hand bikers race and in the afternoon the Elite Women (start around 14.30, finish at 18.00). With 200 volunteers, our sponsors, local authorities and the jury we will do our best to organize a top-event!
